Position Highlights:
- Department: Electroneurodiagnostic Radiology
- Sign-On Bonus: $5,000
- Schedule: Full-time, variable shifts
- Pay Range: Starting at $26.01
- Shift Differentials: Available for night, weekend, and additional shifts
Role Summary:
As an Electroencephalography Specialist, you will be responsible for conducting diagnostic EEG tests, ensuring high-quality patient care, and maintaining equipment standards. Your expertise will be vital in identifying and addressing any abnormalities during testing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform EEG testing and assist in related procedures.
- Recognize and respond to cardiac rhythmic abnormalities, initiating appropriate emergency protocols as needed.
- Maintain and troubleshoot EEG software and equipment, ensuring optimal functionality.
- Document and manage logs for statistical and reporting purposes.
- Participate in Quality Assurance monitoring and adhere to infection control standards.
- Identify and rectify artifacts in EEG readings, forwarding results for physician analysis.
- Ensure the upkeep of EEG equipment and supplies.
Qualifications:
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Minimum of one year as an EEG Technologist.
- CREDENTIALS: Registered Electroencephalographic Technologist (R. EEG T.) - ABRET Neurodiagnostic Credentialing and Accreditation required.
Physical Requirements:
Frequent standing, walking, and lifting (up to 50 lbs). Strong auditory and visual skills are essential for patient interaction and equipment monitoring.
