At Aveanna Healthcare LLC, we are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.
Job Summary:The Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering and coordinating quality patient care in compliance with physician orders. This includes continuously observing and assessing patient condition and care needs, reporting changes to the supervisor and/or physician as appropriate, and documenting all activities, assessments, and nursing actions in a timely manner.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop, implement, and update the nursing care plan to ensure effective patient care.
- Provide education to patients and families regarding disease processes, self-care techniques, and prevention strategies.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to achieve expected outcomes and recognize changes in patient needs and responses requiring intervention.
- Comply with Aveanna policies, state and federal regulations, accrediting bodies, and the Nurse Practice Act.
- Participate in educational programs, continued education units, internal learning management skills, and skill evaluations to maintain knowledge of competencies related to the nursing profession.
- Graduate of an accredited Diploma, Associate, or Baccalaureate School of Nursing.
- Current, unrestricted state license as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice.
- Current CPR certification.
- Demonstrated proficiency in clinical assessments, documentation, and compliance with nursing care and policies and procedures.
- Six (6) months of recent experience as a Licensed Nurse in a clinical care setting.
- Home health experience.
The Registered Nurse must be able to speak, write, read, and understand English, travel, lift 50 pounds, and perform prolonged walking, standing, bending, kneeling, reaching, twisting, sitting, and climbing stairs. The individual must also have visual and hearing acuity, a strong sense of smell and touch, and be able to sufficiently reposition patients and move equipment without assistance.
Environment:The Registered Nurse must be able to function in a wide variety of environments, which may involve exposure to allergens and other various conditions. Possible exposure to blood, bodily fluids, and infectious diseases may also occur.
