Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Instructor to join our Architecture department at College of the Canyons. As an Adjunct Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching courses in Architecture and contributing to the academic success of our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach courses in Architecture, including lectures, discussions, and hands-on activities
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners
  • Assess student learning and provide constructive feedback
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum development
  • Collaborate with colleagues to promote a positive and inclusive learning environment
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related field
  • Two years of full-time equivalent professional experience in Architecture or a related field
  • Ability to create a dynamic learning environment that values instructor-student interaction
  • Ability to effectively engage with and facilitate authentic learning for students of diverse backgrounds, cultures, and experiences
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Architecture or a related field
  • Experience teaching courses in Architecture
  • Knowledge of curriculum development and instructional design
  • Ability to use technology to enhance teaching and learning
