Position Overview

Role Summary
This role entails performing law enforcement duties within a university environment or other state facilities. Officers possess full arrest powers and are responsible for enforcing both state and federal laws. Responsibilities include traffic management and criminal investigations within a defined jurisdiction. The position requires regular patrolling to respond to incidents and detect violations of laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
1. Conduct patrols in designated areas to monitor for violations and respond to calls for service.
2. Apprehend individuals committing offenses and investigate complaints to evaluate and manage cases.
3. Collect and preserve evidence, ensuring proper chain of custody.
4. Provide testimony in court as required.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum of four years of experience as a sworn law enforcement officer.
- Certification as a Law Enforcement Officer in accordance with state training and standards.

Preferred Qualifications
- Additional experience or training in law enforcement is advantageous.

Licenses and Certifications
- Valid law enforcement certification required.

Work Arrangement
This position may be eligible for a remote or hybrid work arrangement, in line with university and state policies.
