Quality Assurance Technician

We are seeking a dedicated Quality Assurance Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you'll be responsible for verifying the quality of our products and collaborating with our Quality Assurance Manager on any concerns.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Verify quality parameters of products according to specifications.
  • Perform line checks to ensure correct products are being produced with correct specifications, including metering sheets to measure product length.
  • Conduct quality checks of printed material by comparing sample material to newly printed casing.
  • Test perforated holes to ensure they meet customer specifications and conduct tube checks to detect holes in shirred casings using a water or Insty-Shir system.
  • Conduct ATP swabbing at the beginning of each shift or after maintenance repairs.
  • Handle all RTAs (Returned goods) and customer complaints as required, following the process in coordination with several departments and performing final disposition.
Requirements:
  • Knowledge of HACCP and GMP to educate and report violations.
  • Ability to learn, interpret, and apply Quality Assurance procedures.
  • Basic computer entry skills using Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Perform math functions, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and averaging.
  • Able to read rulers and gauges.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills.
