Freedom Staffing Services is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team as a Patient Care Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients, ensuring their safety and well-being.
Key Responsibilities- Assure Quality Nursing Care: Follow physician's orders, state and federal regulations, and facility policies and procedures to ensure quality care for patients.
- Lead and Guide Nursing Staff: Supervise and guide nursing assistants and orderlies to ensure effective care and treatment of patients.
- Administer Medications and Treatments: Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians, and document patient responses and reactions.
- Monitor Patient Condition: Observe patients for symptoms and reactions, and report any changes to supervisors and physicians as necessary.
- Document Patient Care: Complete accurate and thorough documentation of patient care, including Nurses Notes and incident reports.
- Admit, Transfer, and Discharge Patients: Admit new patients, transfer patients to other facilities, and discharge patients as ordered by physicians.
- Collaborate with Physicians: Assist physicians with rounds, physical examinations, and treatments as needed.
- Current RN License: Possess a current and active RN license in the state of practice.
- Experience in Patient Care: Have experience in patient care, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting.
- Strong Communication Skills: Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
