Nursing Home RN Position Overview

At Epic Government, we strive to provide exceptional care to our residents. As a Registered Nurse (RN) in our Glasgow State Nursing Facility, you will be part of a team that is dedicated to meeting or exceeding the personal and clinical needs of our residents to achieve their potential for self-determination and independent living in a safe and hazard-free environment.

As a key member of our team, you will perform acts requiring substantial specialized knowledge, judgement, and nursing skill based upon the principles of psychological, biological, physical, and social sciences. You will utilize the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation in the provision of patient care.

Responsibilities include:

Providing care, counsel, and health teaching to the ill, injured, or infirmed

Promoting health maintenance and prevention of illness

Performing medical treatment and administering medications as prescribed, intervening when emergency care is required

Supervising, teaching, and delegating nursing care activities

Serving as a member of patients' treatment teams

Assisting medical and other professionals in the provision of care

Performing nursing assessments on new admissions

Documenting essential entries

Checking lab work orders and specimens prior to submission

Conducting and attending training

Explaining plan of care to patients and families

Scheduling patient's treatments in other units/facilities

Following established policies and procedures

Qualifications

Active, current, unrestricted RN licensure in KY or Compact

Ability to pass facility requirements

New graduates welcomed
