Job Description

The Chief Philanthropy Officer provides strategic leadership in the areas of development, stewardship, and financial planning for Christ Church. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of securing major gifts and developing effective strategies for donor cultivation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive fundraising plans to secure significant funding for Christ Church.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with major donors, identifying opportunities for increased giving and ensuring timely recognition of their contributions.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop and promote educational programs on Christian stewardship, encouraging members to grow in their understanding and practice of generosity.
  • Maintain liaison with the Finance Department to ensure accurate tracking and reporting of donations, including first-time givers and significant gifts.
  • Design and execute a strategy for regular touch-points with donors, including automated thank-you letters and special notes of appreciation for notable contributions.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in fundraising, development, or a related field.
  • Proven ability to lead volunteer teams and spearhead major initiatives from conception to execution.
  • Excellent interpersonal, writing, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Bachelor's degree in Organizational or Business Management or a related field.

Salary Range:$90,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience.
