Job Title: Critical Care Travel Nurse
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Critical Care Travel Nurse to join our team at John H. Stroger Junior Hospital of Cook County. As a Critical Care Travel Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in our ICU units, including Burn ICU, CCU, Medical ICU, SICU, Trauma ICU, and Neuro ICU.
Responsibilities:
* Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients, including those with multi-system organ failure, arterial line management, and ventilated patients
* Interpret and manage dysrhythmias, ABG's, and other critical care-related data
* Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
* Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient care and treatment
Requirements:
* Current RN license in hand
* 2 years of ICU experience
* BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Schedule:
* 3x12s, every other weekend (36 guaranteed hours) no flexibility, no block, 5 days RTO Max (cannot be consecutive)
Unit Specific Information:
* Burn ICU, CCU, Medical ICU, SICU, Trauma ICU, and Neuro ICU included in float pool
* Patient ratios can range from 1:2 to 1:5 depending on the unit
Additional Details:
* Government-Issued photo ID requirement
* American Heart Association (AHA) certifications only
