Payroll Specialist

Pancast Staffing Services, Inc. is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Payroll / Human Resources Assistant to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process payroll weekly for all company employees and 1099 Independent Contractors
• Collect and summarize various forms of pay information
• Evaluate processes for improvement opportunities
• Develop and implement processes and reporting functions to review and control costs
• Conduct research to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws relevant to payroll and HR
• Process garnishment requests and calculate benefit premium withholdings
• Communicate with payroll vendor regarding tax adjustments or discrepancies
• Ensure accurate and timely payroll records and supplemental pay checks
• Work closely with HR and Accounting departments to ensure accuracy and completion of issues
• Assist with leave of absence and company Wellness program administration
• Perform employment verifications and generate reports for Payroll, HR, and Accounting topics

Requirements:

• Previous payroll support experience
• Strict adherence to confidentiality guidelines
• Ability to organize and prioritize workload while meeting deadlines
• Proficiency with numbers and accuracy
• Professional verbal and written communication skills
• Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and self-directed
• Proficient MSOffice skills (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
• Strong computer skills
• Bachelor's degree preferred
