Position Overview

Abacus Technology Corporation is in search of a Project Schedule Engineer responsible for the creation and upkeep of comprehensive project timelines for various initiatives supporting the Command, Control, Communication, Intelligence, and Networks (C3I&N) Directorate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, coordinate, and oversee the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), ensuring effective communication of IMS activities across all functional areas within the Project Management Office (PMO).
  • Generate technical IMS deliverables, including GANTT charts and network diagrams.
  • Provide integrated schedule management support to system acquisition processes, collaborating to incorporate essential schedule requirements for successful mission execution.
  • Assist in the development of requirements, preparation of plans, and evaluation of the ability to meet objectives.
  • Convey schedule goals, strategies, and progress to stakeholders, including customers, project teams, and management.
  • Implement corrective measures as needed to ensure project outcomes are achieved.

Qualifications

Minimum of 10 years of experience in project support and scheduling, with at least 3 years dedicated to Department of Defense (DoD) programs. A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required, though additional experience may substitute for educational qualifications. Proficient understanding and experience with scheduling software, particularly Microsoft Project, is essential. Familiarity with various contract types, including Cost Plus, Time and Material (T&M), and Firm Fixed Price (FFP), is necessary. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and management at all organizational levels are critical. Candidates should be organized, detail-oriented, and proactive in resolving issues as they arise. U.S. citizenship and a current Secret clearance are mandatory.
