We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Product Design Engineer to lead the creation of groundbreaking products and refine existing ones to meet and exceed industry standards. As a key member of our team at Rauch & Associates, you will be responsible for spearheading the design and engineering of cutting-edge products and enhancements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Innovative Product Development: Develop and implement innovative product designs that meet customer needs and exceed industry expectations.
- Customer-Centric Solutions: Translate customer needs into design solutions that align with client expectations and internal standards.
- Technical Leadership: Lead technical design initiatives, including the creation of 3D CAD models, 2D schematics, and simulation execution.
- Prototype Construction: Build and assess prototypes, manage BOMs, liaise with suppliers, and devise comprehensive testing strategies.
- Competitive Analysis: Conduct thorough competitor analysis and present key insights to inform design improvements.
- Collaboration: Partner with internal teams and oversee the management of technology projects, ensuring seamless integration and innovation.
Requirements:
- Industry Experience: Over 4 years of experience in product engineering and design, particularly within the automotive sector.
- Educational Background: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline. Advanced degrees are advantageous.
- CAD Proficiency: Expertise in CAD software, with a preference for CREO, and skilled in creating 2D drawings with GD&T.
- Manufacturability Design: Strong background in design for manufacturability, with additional experience in designing injection-molded components preferred.
- Technical Expertise: Proficiency in mechatronics and knowledge of simulation software are highly desirable.
