The Automotive Collision Estimator is a key member of our team at Mossy Nissan Escondido/Infiniti of Escondido, responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the accurate estimation of body shop repairs.
Key Responsibilities- Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers, promoting a strong commitment to client satisfaction.
- Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge to effectively communicate with clients and staff of the body shop department.
- Apply ethical selling techniques and comply with all applicable company and legal requirements controlling vehicle repairs.
- Thoroughly and accurately diagnose damage by questioning clients about vehicle performance and visual inspection.
- Identify additional service sales opportunities and obtain client agreement to purchase.
- Accurately quote prices for all repairs before work is conducted, identify means of payment/gain credit approval, and obtain client signature on repair order.
- Continually monitor work progress to ensure timely completion.
- Inspect and test work to ensure quality and completeness.
- Notify clients of completed repairs in a timely manner, explain repairs, and answer client questions.
- Aid in the daily activities of the shop, including communications with technicians, painters, other departments within the dealership, insurance company representatives, parts wholesalers, and customers.
- Valid CA Driver's License and Clean Driving Record Required.
- Education and/or experience with body shop repairs.
- Proven track record of success.
- Customer Service skills and Relationship Building are essential.
- A high school diploma or the equivalent.
- College degree or equivalent experience.
