About the Role

At Commercial Metals Company, we're seeking a skilled Roll Turner to join our team. As a Roll Turner, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our steel fabrication processes. Your attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment will be essential in maintaining the high quality of our products.

Key Responsibilities

Assist maintenance personnel as needed to ensure the efficient operation of our steel fabrication equipment. Participate in CMC's Safety Programs and uphold the company's safety culture. Effectively communicate with colleagues about production issues, concerns, and needs. Perform routine maintenance and repairs as needed, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Maintain a clean and organized work area, and provide relief to overhead crane operators as required. Troubleshoot work-related problems using your knowledge and experience, and understand start-up, shutdown, and emergency procedures.

Requirements

Ability to work as a team player in a fast-paced environment, with excellent work ethic, attention to detail, and organizational skills. Ability to work with exposure to extremes in temperature, chemical, dust fumes, and mists. Basic computer skills, dependability in attendance, work completion, and flexibility to meet business needs. Must be able to learn quickly and multitask, and lift up to 50 pounds. Some overtime will be required, and you may be required to work on a rotating shift, including weekends and holidays.

Education

High School Diploma or GED required.
