Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Physical Therapist to join our team at Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush. As a Physical Therapist - Outpatient Home Therapy Specialist, you will provide high-quality physical therapy services to patients in their own homes, working closely with our physician practice to meet the therapy needs of patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide one-on-one in-home therapy for post-operative patients
  • Develop and implement detailed treatment plans for post-operative patients
  • Maintain friendly, cordial relations with clients and employees, and a positive work atmosphere
  • Work independently, providing respectful and empathetic patient care
  • Cultivate relationships with patients and the community
  • Provide continuous communication with referring physicians and patient families
  • Maintain patient charts, clinical logs, and checklists necessary for compliance
  • Set up and monitor home exercise programs
  • Provide education specific to diagnosis and symptom management needs
  • Recognize and respond to priorities in patient care, showing initiative and sound judgment
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Program
  • Minimum one-year experience in outpatient setting, preferred
  • Minimum one-year experience in orthopedics, required
  • Current State of Illinois Physical Therapy license
  • Current CPR Certification
  • BCLS or ACLS
  • Valid Driver's License, reliable transportation, and required liability insurance
