At LewisGale Hospital Montgomery, we are seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse Coordinator to join our Medical Surgical team.
About the Role:
- We offer a competitive salary of approximately $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
- This role is responsible for ensuring high-quality patient-centered care and coordination of all functions in the unit/department during the designated shift as a Clinical Nurse Coordinator.
- The successful candidate will assist with admission and discharge processes, participate in quality assessment, collaborate with subject matter experts, and support a patient-first philosophy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high-quality, patient-centered care.
- Participate in the ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services provided in the unit, in collaboration with other members of the management team.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and other managers to create an environment of teamwork that supports improved outcomes and service.
- Support a patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary.
- Operationalize current nursing strategies to improve engagement by employee rounding, hourly rounds, and other initiatives.
- Provide recommendations related to interviewing, selecting, and training new staff.
- Assist with staff scheduling, managing labor in accordance with patient care needs and established productivity guidelines.
- Support proper inventory control and assist with managing supplies and equipment.
Requirements:
- Must obtain Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 4 months of employment start date.
- Must obtain Basic Cardiac Life Support within 90 days of employment start date.
- Registered Nurse with Associate Degree or Bachelors Degree required.
- 2 years of experience as an RN is required.
