Job Summary:
We are seeking a committed Truck Driver to become a vital part of our operations. In this role, you will be tasked with operating a truck and lowboy trailer, managing oversized equipment configurations, and efficiently loading and unloading machinery. Prior experience in heavy haul operations within a construction setting is highly regarded. Your responsibilities will include transporting oversized loads while ensuring adherence to permits and safety regulations. Additionally, you may assist in loading and moving equipment utilizing tilt deck and lowboy trailers. Comprehensive training will be provided for operating other vehicles and configurations as necessary. When not engaged in driving duties, you will support the organization of equipment and parts at the J. Cumby Construction facility.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Safely operate the truck to assigned locations
- Perform equipment checks during transit to ensure compliance with industry standards
- Efficiently load and unload machinery
- Assist in the organization of equipment and shop tasks
- Conduct pre and post-trip inspections
- Maintain an accurate driver log
- Submit necessary paperwork and ticket information
- Possess a valid CDL and adhere to regulations
- Experience with dump trucks and construction machinery is advantageous
