Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Firefighter/Paramedic to join our team at the Naperville Fire Department. As a Firefighter/Paramedic, you will be responsible for providing emergency medical services, fire suppression, and rescue operations to the citizens of Naperville.

Responsibilities
  • Respond to emergency calls and provide medical care and transportation to patients
  • Operate fire apparatus and equipment to extinguish fires and rescue individuals
  • Participate in fire prevention and public education programs to promote fire safety and awareness
  • Collaborate with other emergency responders to provide effective and efficient emergency services
Requirements
  • Citizenship: Must be a citizen of the United States
  • Age: Must be at least 19 years of age and under 35 years of age by the date of testing, unless otherwise exempt
  • Education: Must be a high school graduate or equivalent (GED) at time of application
  • Licensure: Must be licensed as an Illinois EMT/Paramedic or have passed the National Certified Paramedic Exam at the time of the background screen
  • Other: Must pass a medical examination and psychological assessment
