Ryder System is seeking a skilled Truck Driver CDL A to join our team. As a Solo Truck Driver, you will be responsible for delivering goods to customers in NE Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
Key Responsibilities- Ensuring compliance with federal and state laws, regulations, and agency rules
- Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards
- Loading and unloading freight, or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by the customer
- Performing other duties as assigned
- Minimum 21 years of age
- Pass a Ryder drug test
- Pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
- Pass a DOT physical
- Pass a Ryder road test
- Provide a valid Class A CDL and endorsements for the position
- Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle
- Weekly guarantee of $1425 or more
- 45+ hours per week
- Tenure bonus: pays $300 four times a year, every quarter
- Loyalty bonus: pays $2500 at 6 months and $2500 at 1 year
- Paid training
- Schedule: Monday – Friday, start time: 6:00 AM
- Trucks are three years or newer
- Ryder drivers service the route, not the truck
- 24/7 roadside maintenance by a Ryder-trained technician
- Service employees fuel up our trucks at all 800+ maintenance facilities
