Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular foot patrols throughout the premises, monitoring for any potential safety hazards or security threats. This includes navigating stairs and various building areas while maintaining effective communication via radio and pager.
  • Uphold order within the establishment, assisting guests with their needs and addressing any issues related to hotel policies. Respond promptly to emergencies, including fire hazards, while maintaining a calm demeanor.
  • Monitor the premises for suspicious activity, ensuring a vigilant presence to deter any potential misconduct.
  • Respond to security-related calls and inquiries in a timely manner, prioritizing urgent situations.
  • Observe surveillance feeds for unusual occurrences and report any concerns to the supervising officer immediately.
  • Familiarize yourself with the life safety systems in place, including the layout of the building and the locations of emergency equipment.
  • Adhere to attendance policies and maintain a flexible schedule, including availability for nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support the overall safety and security operations.

Qualifications:

  • Possession of a valid Florida Security License D & G and CCW is required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English and maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
  • Strong physical capabilities to perform essential functions, including lifting and moving items up to 150 lbs, as well as climbing stairs and ladders.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with team members and assist others as needed.
