Qualifications:

  • Fellowship training or relevant clinical experience in breast surgery is preferred.
  • Responsibilities include evaluating and managing patient diagnoses to aid in the detection, prevention, and treatment of both benign and malignant breast conditions.

Role Responsibilities:

  • The surgeon will lead a dedicated healthcare team in both outpatient and surgical environments.
  • This position includes oversight of multidisciplinary components of the breast cancer program, aiming for accreditation by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC).
  • The role will be based in a newly established cancer center, designed to provide comprehensive breast diagnostic services and advanced treatment options.
  • The practice will focus exclusively on breast surgery, emphasizing coordinated care for breast cancer patients.
  • Typical work schedule includes 3 days in the clinic and 2 days in surgery.
  • Support staff will include an Advanced Practice Provider, Nurse Navigator, Clinic RN, and administrative personnel.
  • Call expectations involve taking personal calls, with light coverage and support from a triage program.
  • A strong referral network exists, supported by numerous primary care providers in the region.
