Position Overview:

Soliant is seeking a dedicated and skilled Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to provide essential support in delivering effective speech and language therapy services. This role is crucial in helping students achieve their communication goals and enhancing their overall educational experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Therapeutic Assistance: Implement therapy activities and exercises as directed by the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist. Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at addressing students' speech and language challenges.
  • Assessment Support: Aid in conducting screenings and assessments under the supervision of an SLP. Gather and report data regarding students' progress and responses to therapy interventions.
  • Classroom Collaboration: Collaborate with educators and staff to integrate speech and language objectives into classroom settings. Provide strategies to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.
  • Progress Documentation: Maintain thorough records of therapy sessions, student advancements, and pertinent observations. Prepare and submit necessary reports in accordance with school policies.
  • Material Preparation: Assist in the preparation and organization of therapeutic materials and resources essential for effective therapy sessions.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree or higher in Communication Disorders, Speech-Language Pathology, or a related discipline.
  • California State Licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA).
  • Knowledge of state and federal regulations pertaining to speech-language therapy.
  • Experience in working with children or within an educational environment is preferred.
