Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain wine lists that complement our culinary offerings.
- Provide expert recommendations on wine pairings to enhance the dining experience.
- Ensure the wine cellar is well-stocked and organized.
- Engage with guests to educate them on our wine selection.
- Train our waitstaff on wine knowledge and service standards.
- Negotiate with vendors to secure the best wine prices.
- Organize wine tastings and events to promote our wine program.
- Comply with health and safety regulations.
- Certification as a Sommelier or a degree in Hospitality is highly valued.
- Previous experience as a Sommelier, Wine Steward, or in a related role.
- Extensive knowledge of wines and wine regions.
- Familiarity with local vineyards and wineries.
- Understanding of the wine-making process.
- Ability to work long hours, weekends, and travel.
