Job Summary

The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) is a critical member of the Campbell County Health team, responsible for providing high-quality patient care during pre-hospital emergency situations. This role requires a unique blend of medical knowledge, technical skills, and interpersonal abilities to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and prioritize patient needs, providing appropriate care and treatment during emergency situations.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and transportation to medical facilities.
  • Operate ambulances safely and efficiently, adhering to federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of patient assessments and treatments, utilizing the WATRS reporting system.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, and colleagues, upholding the highest standards of professionalism and respect.
Requirements
  • Wyoming Office of EMS issued EMT license; National Registry preferred.
  • High school graduate or GED equivalent, with completion of all mandatory educational requirements.
  • Ability to maintain continuing education requirements and certifications, including CPR and other relevant licenses.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in high-stress environments.
  • Ability to drive safely and defensively, with a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
