Job Title:

Local Contract Registered Nurse - Telemetry

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in a Local Contract position. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a Neuro Surgical Stepdown unit.

Responsibilities:
  • Implement and monitor patient care plans.
  • Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
  • Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
  • Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
  • Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
Requirements:
  • BLS, ACLS, flu EKG trach/vent experience a must.
  • Chest tube experience a must.
  • Dialysis experience preferred step down ratio-1:3, 1:4, tele ratio 1:5.
Qualifications:
  • BLS and ACLS.
  • National Institutes of Health (NIH).
  • Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
  • The ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Strong technical skills.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Passionate about patient care.
  • Requires a minimum of two years of current Surgical Tech experience.
  • Graduate from a fully accredited Certified Surgical Tech program.
  • Active unencumbered Surgical Tech California state license.
  • One year of Epic experience.
Skills/Abilities/Competencies Required:
  • Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills.
  • Participates in relevant continuing education programs.
  • Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.
  • Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise.
