Avenues Recovery Center is a nationwide network of drug and alcohol rehab centers. We are currently seeking to hire Utilization Review Specialists to join our corporate NJ Team.

As a Treatment Authorization Specialist, you will collaborate with Avenues Recovery facilities regarding Utilization Review (UR) and ensure that all clients are authorized for treatment at the appropriate level of care in a timely manner.

This role serves a dual function, ensuring quality and comprehensive charting of all services rendered by maintaining collaborative lines of communication with facility leadership.

Responsibilities:

  • Field incoming calls, emails, and other correspondence relating to new clients that require Authorization
  • Work closely with the Avenues Recovery billing team to properly coordinate and flag potential issues that may arise
  • Assist staff with creating uniform templates and processes that can be used at all Avenues facilities
  • Manage a client caseload and Coordinate with treatment team to assess and advocate for continued stay at recommended level of care
  • Document electronic records related to all UR correspondence and authorization

Estimated Salary: $65,000 - $80,000 per year
