Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Controls Engineer to support all aspects of engineering design from concept planning to completion for designated projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop electrical control designs that meet engineering standards, practices, and codes.
  • Translate design requirements and specifications into electrical control designs.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure project scope is met.
  • Read and edit logic diagrams, wiring diagrams, single lines, and P&IDs.
  • Prepare technical specifications, drawings, and visual aids.
  • Present technical presentations to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop bill-of materials.
  • Perform factory acceptance tests and site acceptance tests of electrical equipment and installations.
  • Execute preventative maintenance plans at customer facilities.
  • Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems in systems.
  • Comply with company safety program requirements.
  • Stay current on engineering developments, technology, materials, trends, and regulations.
  • Provide mentoring to team members as needed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or engineering technology.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail and self-motivation.
  • Understanding of electrical schematics and ability to troubleshoot failures.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communications skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 30% with occasional overnight travel.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Reliable transportation for client site visits.
