About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Instrument Technician to join our team at Dominion Energy's Millstone Power Station in Waterford, CT. As a Nuclear Instrument Technician, you will be responsible for performing maintenance and calibration activities, including work in both shop and field environments in normal and radiological areas of the plant.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with scheduled work activities such as preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance, and calibrations.
  • Work on both analog and digital control systems, including microprocessor, electronic, and pneumatic instrumentation and controls.
  • Correct anomalous operations of indicators, controllers, and instrument loops using advanced test equipment and investigative techniques.
  • Accurately complete documentation associated with assigned job tasks and comply with approved procedures.
  • Comply with and demonstrate a working knowledge of Work Management processes, Equipment Clearances (safety tagging), Radiological Work Permits, and Safety regulations, policies, and practices.
Requirements
  • Associate degree and 2 years of related commercial or military experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • High school diploma/GED and 4 years of related commercial or military experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • High school diploma/GED and 2 years of military or other related training and 2 years of related commercial or military experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Working Conditions

This role requires working in a fast-paced environment with varying levels of noise, radiation, and physical demands. The successful candidate must be able to work at varying elevations, confined quarters, and radiological areas of the plant.
