Neonatal Respiratory Therapist

POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a skilled Neonatal Respiratory Therapist to join our dedicated team. This role involves providing exceptional care in a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU).

WORK SCHEDULE:
  • Shift: 12-hour Night shifts
  • Duration: 13-26 weeks
  • RTO: Maximum of 7 days
  • Weekend Commitment: Every other weekend
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a relevant setting
  • Traveler Experience: Open to first-time travelers
  • Local Candidates: Accepted with rate differences
  • Required Skills: Proficient in airway management, medication administration, ventilator management, arterial blood gases (ABGs), oxygen therapy, suctioning, pulmonary care, bronchoscopes, nebulization, BiPAP, CPAP, and EPIC documentation.
  • Certifications: BLS, NRP, CRTT, ACLS, RRT, PALS
PATIENT CARE:

Focus on ICU and emergency department general floor care.

PROCEDURES AND EQUIPMENT:
  • Special Procedures: Experience with heated high-flow nasal cannula, bubble CPAP, nitric oxide therapy, high-risk deliveries, asthma education, pediatric tracheostomy care, and rapid response team involvement.
  • Equipment: Familiarity with Drager VN500 and 3100A ventilators.
UNIT SYSTEMS:

Utilization of EPIC and Servo I for medication management, documentation, and communication.

SCHEDULING:

Manager-driven scheduling.

DRESS CODE:

Black scrubs are required.

NOTE:

It is essential that candidates have prior experience in a Level III NICU and PICU.
