Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Carpenter to join our team at Messer family of companies. As a prominent construction company, we pride ourselves on building what matters most for our customers and transforming the communities in which we live.

Our ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of commercial construction and remodeling practices, including knowledge of procedures, techniques, tools, equipment, materials, specifications, quality, and cost control measures. They will be able to read blueprints, utilize appropriate math skills, and perform layout with ease.

The successful candidate will be responsible for various tasks, including:

  • Installation of doors, drill, and set door hardware
  • Installation of windows
  • Layout for stairs and common rafters
  • Form and place concrete footings, piers, walls, and columns
  • Pump, place, and finish techniques
  • Placement of concrete, slab on grade, and elevated decks
  • Crane signals and rigging
  • Effectively communicate and understand both verbal and written instructions
  • Ability to organize, sequence, and perform assigned tasks within schedule
  • Steel stud framing
  • Hanging and finishing drywall

To be considered for this role, applicants must possess a high school diploma or equivalent, OSHA 10 certification (preferred), and a minimum of three years' experience operating heavy machinery. Additionally, they must have reliable transportation and be willing to work within a 50-mile radius.

Salary Range: $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience
