Radiology Technologist Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team at NSMC. As a key member of our Radiology department, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our team.

Job Summary

This is a full-time position working 12 hour shifts, 36 hours per week. The schedule includes Thursdays, Fridays, and every other weekend, with some holiday obligation and call required.

Responsibilities
  • Operate radiologic equipment to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes
  • Prepare patients for exams, ensuring their comfort and safety
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, adhering to departmental and regulatory standards
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with industry developments and best practices
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous work experience as a Radiologic Technologist, or completion of a formal Radiologic Technology Training program with required temporary license
  • Satisfactory completion of a formal Radiologic Technology Training program accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology
  • Effective communication and organizational skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and colleagues
  • Computer proficiency and ability to quickly gain competency in various hospital software applications
  • Required licensure with the Department of Public Health to practice Radiologic Technology in the state of Massachusetts, and registration or registration eligible with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists for Radiography
