Job Title: Counselor I - Addiction and Mental Health

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Counselor I to join our team at Addiction and Mental Health Services, LLC. As a Counselor I, you will be responsible for providing case management, counseling, and support services to individuals struggling with addiction and mental health issues.

Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments to identify client needs and develop treatment plans.
  2. Evaluate and integrate assessment findings into clinical summaries and treatment plans.
  3. Provide individual and group counseling sessions, as well as specialty groups and education lectures.
  4. Manage caseloads, documentation requirements, and treatment delivery responsibilities.
  5. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and support.
  6. Document client progress and maintain accurate records.
  7. Participate in supervision and training to enhance professional development.
  8. Perform other duties as assigned by the Treatment Director.

Requirements:

  • Masters degree in Social or Behavioral Science required.
  • Professional licensure required or qualified to make application for licensure within 90 days of hire.
  • Two years of working experience in addictions treatment preferred.
  • Ability to administer CPR and maintain certification.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a professional demeanor.

Working Conditions:

This position requires the ability to walk approximately 1/2 mile per 8-hour shift and sit for extended periods. The ability to see (corrected) and hear (hearing aid acceptable) is also required.
