Service Manager

Sunbelt Rentals is a leading equipment rental company that's committed to delivering exceptional service to our customers. We're seeking a highly skilled Service Manager to join our team and help us achieve our goals.
About the Role
As a Service Manager, you'll be responsible for managing the repair and maintenance of our equipment fleet, ensuring that it's always in top condition and ready for our customers. You'll work closely with our team to develop and implement effective maintenance strategies, manage inventory, and provide exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures to ensure equipment is properly maintained and repaired
• Manage inventory levels and order parts as needed to maintain adequate supplies
• Provide training and assistance to staff mechanics to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their jobs effectively
• Work with equipment vendors to learn about new equipment and technologies and implement them into our operations
• Evaluate equipment after repairs, maintenance, or safety checks to ensure it meets our high standards
• Document equipment status before and after rental to ensure accurate records
• Handle customer complaints regarding equipment condition or operation and provide solutions to resolve issues
• Promote safety awareness and ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and operated
• Perform quality control checks to ensure that all equipment meets our standards
• Update, maintain, and keep organized equipment service records
• Create, update, close, and bill work orders
• File warranty claims in a timely fashion
• Commission new equipment and ensure it's properly maintained and operated
• Order parts, return parts, and perform parts inventory
• Dispose of solid and hazardous material waste (batteries, used oil & filters, antifreeze, wash sludge)
• Report on equipment due for service, fleet status, equipment service records, open work orders, warranty claims, inventory management, parts & merchandise detail, financial and historical trending, service department financial summary, shop foreman performance tool, work order chargeback, halt report, open PO report, tech paid hours vs. worked hour report
Requirements
• Valid driver's license
• Extensive experience in the repair and maintenance of self-propelled platforms and lifts
• Knowledge of work planning and scheduling and other supervisory activities
• Strong understanding of equipment capabilities and safety requirements
• Clear perspective of maintenance and repair issues in the industry
• Planning and management experience
• Computer literacy
• Reporting experience
• Inventory management experience

Sunbelt Rentals offers a competitive salary range of $54,000.00 - $83,740.60, as well as a range of benefits including health, dental, vision, life insurance, wellbeing, and a retirement plan with employer matching contributions.
