Job Summary

The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our team at the Amarillo VAHCS. As a Nurse Practitioner, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the overall mission of the VA.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide primary and specialty care to patients in a variety of settings, including clinics, hospitals, and community-based settings.
  • Conduct comprehensive health assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, and provide education to patients and their families.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in nursing or related field.
  • Current, full, active, and unrestricted registration as a graduate professional nurse in a State, Territory or Commonwealth (i.e., Puerto Rico) of the United States, or the District of Columbia.
  • Nurse Practitioner certification from a nationally recognized certifying body.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
