Job Summary

University Hospitals is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Intensive Care Unit team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to a positive and supportive work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver Effective Patient Care: Implement the nursing process to provide relationship-based care, ensuring safe practice and positive outcomes.
  • Communicate Effectively: Demonstrate clear communication and collaboration skills to optimize patient care and clinical operations.
  • Develop Professional Skills: Develop self and contribute to the professional practice of nursing, staying up-to-date with the latest nursing processes and technologies.
  • Lead by Example: Display leadership that influences optimal clinical and operational outcomes, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
Requirements
  • Nursing Knowledge and Skills: Possess thorough knowledge of the nursing process and practice, using a wide range of technical equipment to meet patient needs.
  • Education and Licensure: Hold a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or a minimum of a Diploma/Associate's Degree in nursing from an accredited program, with a current license to practice in the state of Ohio.
  • Certifications and Training: Possess current BLS Provider Certification, issued by the American Heart Association, and complete annual training on Protected Health Information (PHI) and UH policies and procedures.
Physical Demands

The successful candidate will be able to meet the physical demands of the role, including standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, handling, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and performing repetitive motions with eye/hand/foot coordination.
