Responsibilities:

  • Prepare dialysis machines and treatment supplies to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Perform hemodialysis treatments according to facility policies and procedures.
  • Provide ongoing patient education, training, and health coaching.
  • Monitor patients during dialysis and communicate changes with physicians and families.
  • Administer and chart prescribed medications.
  • Follow CDC/CMS infection control regulations.
  • Participate in patient care conferences, rounds, and chart reviews.
  • Document patient education efforts.
  • Facilitate continuity of care with local hospitals.
  • Assist with medication inventory maintenance.
  • Lead a small patient care team.
  • Contribute to onboarding new staff members.

Qualifications:
  • Accredited nursing degree required.
  • Dialysis experience not required, but job shadow opportunities are available.
  • DCI provides comprehensive training, including classroom group sessions and one-on-one skills training.
