Polara Health is seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team at our accredited community mental health facility in Prescott and Prescott Valley, Arizona.

Job Summary

We are currently hiring Inpatient Psychiatric Registered Nurses to work in one of the following shifts:

  • Day Shift: 7 am to 7:30 pm
  • Mid Shift: 1 pm to 1:30 am
  • Night Shift: 7 pm to 7:30 am

Full-time RNs work three 12-hour shifts per week and are eligible for our complete benefits package. Part-time RNs work two 12-hour shifts per week and are eligible for select benefits.

Responsibilities

As an Inpatient Psychiatric RN, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive care and support to patients with mental health disorders within our inpatient unit. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of patients upon admission, including physical and mental health evaluations
  • Developing and implementing individualized nursing care plans based on patients' needs, diagnoses, and treatment goals
  • Administering medications and monitoring their effectiveness, ensuring accurate dosage, documentation, and adherence to prescribed protocols
  • Providing direct patient care, including monitoring vital signs, managing crisis situations, and promoting a therapeutic environment
  • Collaborating with the interdisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, therapists, and case managers, to coordinate patient care and treatment plans
  • Monitoring and evaluating patients' progress, documenting observations and reporting changes in their condition to the healthcare team
  • Facilitating and participating in therapeutic groups and activities, promoting patients' engagement and skill-building
  • Educating patients and their families on mental health disorders, medications, self-care strategies, and community resources
Qualifications

To be considered for this position, you must:

  • Be 21 years of age or older; or minimum 18 years old and licensed or certified under A.R.S. Title 32 and providing services within the personnel member's scope of practice; or minimum 18 years old for select administrative positions
  • Be able to provide or obtain an AZDPS Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card
  • Have a valid Driver License
  • Hold a valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Arizona
  • Have 2 years of experience in psychiatric/mental health nursing preferred
