About the RoleThis 1099 employment opportunity offers a pay range of $40-$50 per hour for approximately 20-25 hours of work per week. Your caseload will consist of 23 students, and you will be responsible for creating and implementing personalized programs that cater to each student's unique needs and abilities.
Responsibilities- Create and implement adapted physical education programs for students with disabilities or special needs.
- Evaluate students' motor skills, physical capabilities, and fitness levels to establish appropriate goals and objectives.
- Adapt and customize physical education curriculum, exercises, and activities to meet the needs of each student.
- Provide direct instruction, demonstrations, and guidance to students in various physical activities, sports, and games.
- Utilize adaptive equipment and assistive technology to facilitate students' participation and achievement in physical education.
- Collaborate with fellow educators, therapists, and support staff to create an inclusive and cohesive learning environment.
- Monitor and assess students' progress, make necessary adjustments, and maintain accurate records of assessments, attendance, and student performance.
- Masters degree in Physical Education with a specialty in adaptive education.
- Possess a valid teaching certification in Physical Education or Adapted Physical Education.
- Demonstrate prior experience working with students with disabilities or special needs in educational or therapeutic settings.
- Thorough understanding of adapted physical education principles, techniques, and assessment methods.
- Familiarity with adaptive equipment, assistive technology, and modifications for inclusive physical activities.
