Transportation Planning Engineer

Job OverviewWe're seeking a skilled Transportation Planning Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and quality-controlling various aspects of transportation projects, including multimodal traffic operations, project infrastructure capacity analysis, and intelligent transportation systems.
Responsibilities- Manage and QA/QC topics such as multimodal traffic operations, microsimulation, project infrastructure capacity analysis, freeway and managed lanes operations, arterial and transit operations, pedestrian simulations, roundabout operations, traffic calming operations, traffic signal timing, and intelligent transportation systems;
- Determine intersection and lane configurations;
- Prepare and review traffic and project reports;
- Use software such as Synchro/SimTraffic, Sidra, HCS, Vistro, Vissim, Visum, TransModeler, and others effectively to make quick and accurate computations;
- Depending on experience, manage projects, delegate and supervise work, develop strong client relationships, and contribute to marketing and winning new projects;
- 4 to 8 years of related work experience in transportation planning and/or engineering;
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in transportation, civil engineering, data science, electrical engineering, urban planning, or a related field;
- Excellent technical writing, verbal communication, and presentation skills;
- Exemplary interpersonal skills with a strong ability to collaborate with clients;
- Strong task and project management skills;
- Aptitude for business development;
- PE, PTOE, and/or TE certification is a plus;
The estimated salary for this position is $100,000 - $140,000 per year, depending on education, experience, and qualifications.
