Deli Dishwasher

The Deli Dishwasher is a key member of our team at Eastside Food Co-op, responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of our kitchen, production wares, and equipment. This role also involves stocking, maintaining, and cleaning deli sales floor displays and service areas. Additionally, the assistant may participate in packing and labeling food for deli sale using accurate and sanitary techniques.

• Customer Service: Provide prompt, courteous, and knowledgeable customer service, including offering samples, suggestions for purchase, and nutrition information to customers.
• Department Maintenance: Wash and store kitchen production tools and equipment according to established procedures, ensure floors are clean and safe, remove garbage and recycling according to schedule, and clean kitchen equipment according to schedule or as directed.
• Food Handling: Follow Eastside Deli procedures and MN food safety rules at all times, pack salads, baked goods, and other food for retail display when needed, and assist sales floor staff as directed.

• High School Diploma or Equivalent: High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Prolonged Standing and Walking: Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods.
• Ability to Lift and Move 60 Pounds: Ability to lift and move 60 pounds frequently during a shift.
• Corrected Vision: Ability to see small print and read written instructions.
