Job Summary:

As a Pharmacy Technician at Walgreens, you will play a vital role in assisting pharmacists in the practice of pharmacy, ensuring accurate and efficient processing of prescriptions, and providing exceptional customer service to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist pharmacists in the performance of pharmacy duties, including retrieving, counting, and pouring pharmaceutical drugs, verifying medicine, and checking for possible interactions.
  • Process prescriptions accurately and efficiently, using pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, engaging with customers and patients, resolving issues, and answering questions to ensure a positive experience.
  • Develop strong relationships with most valuable customers, modeling and sharing customer service best practices with team members.
  • Assist with exterior and interior maintenance, ensuring the Pharmacy Department is stocked with adequate supplies, clean, neat, and orderly in condition and appearance.

Requirements:

  • Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
  • Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
  • Prefer good math skills, computer skills, and knowledge of store inventory control.
  • Prefer PTCB or ExCPT certification.
