Position Overview

We are seeking a knowledgeable General Ledger Accountant to enhance our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will utilize their accounting expertise to support our expanding organization, contributing to our mission of promoting sustainable gardening practices. This is a full-time, on-site role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage month-end closing processes, including journal entry preparation, account reconciliations, and financial statement analysis.
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure accurate and timely accounting of all financial transactions.
  • Assist in preparing audit documentation for semi-annual and year-end reviews, addressing inquiries as necessary.
  • Contribute to the development of process enhancements and automation strategies to improve accounting efficiency.
  • Establish and maintain internal controls over financial reporting as required.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for operational improvements and efficiency gains.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Complete additional tasks and projects as assigned by management.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is mandatory.
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in accounting, preferably at a senior level.
  • Experience in public accounting and e-commerce is advantageous.
  • Comprehensive understanding of full-cycle accounting practices.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and quickly adapt to new software.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Capable of working at a desk for extended periods.
