Bristol Regional Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Critical Care Pharmacist to join our team on a travel assignment. As a critical care pharmacist, you will play a vital role in providing pharmaceutical care to critically ill patients in our intensive care unit.
Responsibilities:
- Provide pharmaceutical care to critically ill patients, including medication therapy management and dosing recommendations.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Participate in medication use evaluations and formulary management.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive knowledge of medications, including their indications, contraindications, and potential interactions.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest clinical guidelines and research in critical care pharmacy.
Requirements:
- Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited institution.
- Current licensure as a pharmacist in the state of practice.
- Board certification in critical care pharmacy or emergency medicine pharmacy.
- At least 2 years of experience in critical care pharmacy or emergency medicine pharmacy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Work Schedule:
The selected candidate will work a 7 on 7 off schedule with no on-call shifts. The hospital can cancel or call off one shift biweekly without a financial penalty from the employed 36/36 or 36/48 schedule if there is a decrease in census.
Additional Information:
The traveler's permanent residence must be 100 miles or greater from the hospital's service area. The hospital offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
