Job Summary

We're seeking a highly skilled Survey Party Chief to join our team. As a Survey Party Chief, you will be responsible for supervising survey crews, keeping field notes, communicating with office staff, training subordinates, and operating robotic instruments.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise survey crews and ensure accurate and timely completion of projects
  • Keep detailed field notes and communicate with office staff to ensure seamless project execution
  • Train and mentor subordinates to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties
  • Operate robotic instruments, including total stations, data collectors, GPS, and autolevels
  • Download data into computers each night and ensure accurate and timely submission of reports
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of 4-8 years of experience in surveying
  • Pre-employment drug screening is a condition of employment
  • Background and motor vehicle checks may be required based on position
Performance Expectations
  • Participate in cross-training to build a stronger team
  • Communicate workflow needs to team and supervisor
  • Comply with all KCI policies and procedures
  • Accurately record and report daily forms per project requirements
  • Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, staff, and supervisor
  • Perform other duties as assigned
