Job Overview:
Soliant Education is in search of a qualified and passionate Special Education Teacher to take on a vital role in supporting students in grades 6-12 who face significant emotional and behavioral challenges. The successful candidate will possess a strong ability to manage complex behaviors and demonstrate a commitment to delivering outstanding educational support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute individualized education plans (IEPs) that cater to the specific needs and behavioral challenges of students.
  • Provide direct educational support to students exhibiting severe emotional and behavioral difficulties.
  • Work collaboratively with fellow educators to maintain a unified educational strategy.
  • Monitor student behavior and implement strategies to promote emotional and behavioral stability.
  • Create a structured, nurturing classroom environment that fosters learning and personal development.
  • Engage with families and other stakeholders to facilitate student progress and address any concerns.
  • Adapt teaching methods and materials to accommodate diverse learning styles and needs.
  • Track and document student progress, making necessary adjustments to instructional approaches.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience working with students who have severe behavioral and emotional challenges.
  • Strong foundation in special education, particularly for grades 6-12.
  • Proficient in developing and managing IEPs.
  • Team-oriented mindset with experience in collaborative educational settings.
  • Possession of relevant state certification and licensure in Special Education.
  • Able to manage a caseload of 20-25 students as enrollment increases.
