Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to join our team at Dignity Health. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for supporting our hospitals with technical expertise in financial statement preparation and reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the compilation of month-end net revenue calculations and analyses using the Revenue Cycle Analytics (RCA) tool.
  • Prepare supporting documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Participate in the implementation of the Revenue Cycle Analytics (RCA) tool, including developing mapping tables, reconciling daily and monthly interfaces, and participating in implementation meetings.
  • Provide documentation to accounting teams for preparation of journal entries and reconciliations for patient accounts receivable reserves, including contractual allowances, administrative adjustments, charity, and bad debts.
  • Assist in the preparation of analyses for general accounting, patient accounting, Departmental Directors, and CFOs.
  • Assist with the submission of reserve information for compliance with Dignity Health Policy and Procedure.
  • Assist in the review of new reimbursement/revenue cycle strategies to ensure compliance and promotion of best practices.
  • Support annual internal/external financial audits to ensure accuracy of valuations of net patient accounts receivables.
  • Assist in the preparation of the annual Medicare, TriCare, and Medicaid reports.
  • Collect and review data and documentation from facilities necessary to file the appropriate Federal and State reports in a timely and compliant manner.
  • Help ensure filed reports are timely and compliant with all Federal and State regulations and guidelines.
  • Assist with research of government reimbursement changes, advocacy positions, and issues related to government programs.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Work style that fosters credibility by developing loyalty, teamwork, and respect at all levels in the organization, as well as with consultants, internal/external auditors, and other outside parties.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate well with others.
