Job Summary

Baylor College of Medicine is seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our Pediatric Urology team at Christus Children's Hospital in San Antonio, TX. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide advanced nursing care to patients in a clinical setting, working collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Job Duties
  • Provide comprehensive patient care, including health assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
  • Administer medications and order diagnostic tests as delegated by the authorizing physician.
  • Develop and implement patient education plans to promote health and wellness.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
Requirements
  • Master's or Doctorate degree in Nursing.
  • Current license as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the State of Texas Board of Nursing.
  • Current Texas Licensure as an Advanced Practice Nurse (APRN-NP).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
  • Current controlled substances certificate from the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) or eligible for same.
