Role Impact:
This position is crucial for fostering teamwork and accountability in maintaining safe and high-quality production standards. It is a hands-on leadership role that demands a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise team members across various production lines.
- Collaborate with site management to develop and implement daily production plans.
- Conduct daily team meetings to relay production goals and company initiatives.
- Participate in performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching and development for team members.
- Take charge of team dynamics by engaging in the promotion and training of team members.
- Perform daily quality audits to ensure product standards are met.
- Enforce safety and quality protocols by reporting incidents and participating in corrective actions.
- Manage equipment needs by promptly reporting any issues to maintenance.
- Work alongside other supervisors and departments as necessary.
- Assess and report on daily production metrics and deviations from the production plan.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional college education is a plus.
- Passion for servant leadership with experience in a supervisory role, preferably in manufacturing.
- Experience in the chemical industry or familiarity with safety procedures is advantageous.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Effective communication abilities with peers and team members.
- Proficient problem-solving skills with the ability to make urgent decisions.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications such as OneDrive, Word, Teams, and Excel.
- Commitment to safety and accountability for team safety practices.
- Forklift certification or experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to talk, hear, stand, walk, use hands, and reach with arms.
- Capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.
- Must obtain respirator certification and wear a full-face respirator as required.
Work Environment:
Industrial warehouse setting – non-climate controlled.
