Amergis is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Behavioral Technician to join our team. As a Behavioral Technician, you will play a vital role in facilitating educational and behavioral services with children and adults with special needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaboration and Teamwork: Work closely with school professionals, behavioral specialists, and other team members to achieve learning and behavioral goals and objectives.
  • Behavior Management: Implement behavior management techniques, including prevention, intervention, and consequence strategies, to support students with special needs.
  • Crisis Intervention: Provide crisis intervention and support to students in need.
  • Behavioral Planning: Review and implement behavior intervention plans to support students with special needs.
  • Academic Support: Assist in facilitating academic instruction and support students in developing independent daily living skills.
  • Documentation: Accurately and efficiently document session data and behavioral progress.
  • Confidentiality: Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all relevant professional standards of practice.
Requirements
  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: Two years of pediatric experience preferred.
  • Skills: Strong communication skills, proficiency in English, and computer skills required.
  • Certifications: Current CPR certification, TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest x-ray, and current health certificate required.
  • Other: Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements, and successfully complete new hire training.
