Job Summary

This part-time instructor position is available in the Psychology department at The College of Southern Nevada. The successful candidate will teach live on-campus courses in the Psychology curriculum, supporting the Psychology Associate of Arts Degree and General Education requirements for other degree programs.

Responsibilities

  • Teach introductory level (PSY 101) courses, with the possibility of teaching other courses based on departmental needs.
  • Maintain records, submit grades, and communicate with department and college personnel using established college/department protocol.
  • Develop syllabi and course materials in accordance with college policy.
  • Evaluate student mastery of skills and competencies required by course outcomes.
  • Provide students with syllabi that meet college, department, and program requirements.
  • Effectively evaluate student performance while meeting assessment guidelines.
  • Communicate with students in a timely manner.
  • Complete Assessment assignments.

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Psychology or related disciplines from a regionally accredited college or university.
  • Experience teaching College Psychology or related courses is preferred.
  • Experience with CANVAS or other learning management systems is also preferred.

Compensation

This position will be paid $925.00 per credit hour, with credits varying by semester.
